Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him, then you will lift up your face without shame; you will stand firm and without fear.

Have you ever felt under attack, as if you are drowning in a sea of shame or fear?

Did you feel like you were being ripped under by the currents of life?

God tells us that if we devote our hearts to Him, He will lift our faces.

We can stand firm despite the raging storm. We do not have to be overcome by it.

God, through the gift of His Holy Spirit, strengthens us.

In preparation for the trials of life, we can trust Him and reach out to Him. He will guide us and free us from fear.

Trusting God means that we have a strong love and dedication to Him that is not based on emotion or circumstance. It comes from belief and devotion. That type of passionate trust can withstand even the hardest of times.

Today: Thank God for His firm foundation. Thank Him for allowing us to weather life’s most ravenous storms without shame or fear.
