The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, that one may turn away from the snares of death.

- Proverbs 14:27 ESV

Jesus lived in the Fear of the Lord. He honored his Father.

If you want to impart the light of Christ to those around you, the fear of the Lord must be in you!

Fear means respect.

When you fear the Lord, you respect Him. You respect His commandments. You respect His will.

Without respect, you fail to listen.

Fearing the Lord is to honor God’s word. Knowing that his word has all you need for this life.

Men cannot live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

In Proverbs, the Bible says the Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. The lack of the fear of the Lord is why people don’t follow God. They don’t fear him, so they don’t pursue knowledge. The fear of the Lord makes you wise in the sight of God.

When you pray for wisdom, God gives you the fear of the Lord.

When you fear the Lord, you depart from death. In Jesus is eternal life. Walking in the fear of the Lord keeps you on that path of salvation.

Psalms 25:14
The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him, and he will show them his covenant.

Father, in the name of Jesus, give me wisdom to walk in the fear of the Lord. Lead me in the way that I should go. I honor your words and instruction over my life. I desire to pursue you and all that you have for me. Use me in your will and purpose.
In Jesus Name,
Amen.

With Love,
Corrin
