Who shall not fear, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy; for all the nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy righteous acts have been made manifest.

- Revelation 15:4

As God’s chosen people, we are wholly and dearly loved.

We have all the benefits of knowing God in and through Christ. This passage in Revelation explains to us the holiness of God. We are to be like Him in righteousness because His Holy Spirit is living in us.

The Psalmist tells us in Psalm 18:3, “For who is God, but the Lord? We are assured in this verse that our help comes from God, the maker of heaven and earth.

Who better to help us than the very One who created us.

How staggering is the realization that when we need help, the One who formed the mountains and the seas is ready to give us direction, comfort, and companionship?

As believers in Jesus, we have been chosen for salvation and adopted into God’s family. That means we have the promise of eternal life and the joy and hope of living with Jesus forever. But it also means that in the end times, during the tribulation, we have the promise that God will defeat Satan. He will return to earth and set up His kingdom.

As we go through each day with Jesus, we are given opportunities to trust Him. But who better to trust than the One who is Holy of Holies, the maker of heaven and earth?

God is everything good and will one day defeat everything that is evil.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank you for watching over me. Please help me to continue to follow after you, putting you first in all I do and speak. Amen.

With Love,
Sherry Shepherd
