For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.  - Romans 8:18

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

- Romans 8:18

Hope changes things.

When we are struggling, and life is hard, and we don't know what the outcome will be, we can take heart and have courage. But how is this possible? As believers, we can be assured that Christ will return to earth to judge and make all things new.

We know that when God comes to earth for a second time, He will permanently defeat death, sin, and Satan once and for all.

Therefore, God desires all to come to Him and believe in Him. Once we have placed our trust in Him, we are assured of eternal life. Then one day, we will reside with Jesus in a place where death and decay are no more. How amazing is that?

Our hope in God is real. It gives us peace and assurance that the sinfulness of this world will one day be overcome.

So today, thank God for His amazing love and power. Hold on to courage. Remember that our Savior will overcome pain and suffering!

Last of all, remember that while we were dead in our sins, guilty and helpless, God gave Himself for us. He paid the price we so deserved. In His great mercy, He desires to show off His grace to us forever and ever.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for saving me. Thank you for giving me a new life in You. Please help me to remember that the pain I am experiencing today is only temporary in the light of eternity with you. Amen.

With Love,
Sherry Shepherd
